A person working as a freelancer from home in Pakistan, needs a solid payment processor to handle is client payments. As we know that PayPal is not allowed in Pakistan, MoneyBookers is an awesome alternative. But to avail the full privileges of a merchant account one should have a verified account with MoneyBookers. Many people in Pakistan do not know how to have their account verified. Here we will try to explain the procedure to get your account verified from MoneyBookers.
First of all you will need to sign up for an ordinary account at moneybookers.com, once you get your account activated by clicking the link in the email you are all set to go.
You will need two things to get your account verified.
- A scan of your ID (This can be your passport or an English translation of NIC).
- A bank Account with any bank in Pakistan.
Now you will need to send them the scan of your ID by email. Send it through the email with which you registered the account at MoneyBookers.
Then add your bank account information to MoneyBookers. You can do so by logging into your account and adding this information under bank account status. Then withdraw some funds for verification. MoneyBookers will send a small amount ranging from $10 – $15 to your account with a code in it. When the money gets credited in your account, call your bank and ask for that code in the money transaction. It will be in the information of the transaction.
Once you have that number login to your MoneyBookers account and add it to your account. Your account will be verified and so will be your bank account. In most cases the bank miss the code number due to internal reasons. In that case you can get a print of your bank statement after you have received the payment from MoneyBookers, get it scanned and send it to moneybookers help desk. They will verify your account based upon that bank statement.
Now you can easily receive funds and withdraw them to your account.
If you want to accept credit card payments you will need to have a merchant account with MoneyBookers. I will try to paste a tutorial on getting a merchant account soon. So come back later. Hope that this information will help you in having a verified account with MoneyBookers.

It is quite difficult for me to answer all the comments, so i am sorry if i have missed some. I am answering the main concern of people in this Note.
You can verify any of your bank accounts. Once you get the verification funds, which will be around $15 in your bank account. Get a new bank statement from your bank, with the amount listed on it. Get it scanned and send it to moneyBookers. They will verify your account on that statement.

Please make corrections to your article, You’re saying “As we know that PayPal is now allowed in Pakistan” rather than “As we know that PayPal is not allowed in Pakistan”. Remove the ‘now’ and make it ‘not’.

Sir, I am unable to verify my bank account. Moneybookers is asking for a verification code sent with the amount and when I called my bank they are unable to find that verification code. Now my money is stuck at moneybookers. What to do?
Yeah there Is issue with some banks. One of my account also faced such an issue during verification. The codes do not arrive at the bank due to different companies handling the transactions. But, there is a simple solution to that. Send moneybookers a scan of your bank statement. It will get the account verified. You can have a bank statement by visiting your bank. Get it inform of a simple printout. Get them scanned and send them to moneybookers.
But make sure that all of your information is same on the bank statement. If you have still issues. Feel free to contact and it will be a pleasure to help.

I really appreciate the above information but there are couple of questions which still need to be answered, like;
1)The names of the banks which support Moneybookers. Because many times when u go to any bank and talk to their representative, because of having non or lack of information they are unable to guide you that if their bank supports this. Therefore kindly state the bank names, will be grateful to you.
2)What are the charges of these banks, like some say that having dollar account will save the processing charges instead of having rupee account.
I do not have a knowledge of which banks work with it as i have heard a lot of people having issue with the code, it is always better to send them bank statement of the payments.
As regarding to the dollar account, i will say you should go with UBL or standard chartered as they do not have issue with such accounts

I have Moneybookers verified account, got the verification by using SCB. I think, SCB and HBL best for transaction as well.
