Today I will like to place some light upon the matter of duplicate content and how it can affect your website rankings.
First of all i want to diminish the myth that duplicate content gets your site banned from Google. There is no such business, you can keep posting the duplicate content and Google will never ban you from it’s listings.
But there is a huge price you are going to pay for the duplicate content, and that is that you will not be able to rank excellent for you target keywords. The reason behind this is that the content which you have copied already ranks excellent in Google for number of sites and Google does not bothers showing your content. The reason behind this is that Google thinks that the content is not competent of being indexed in quest results as it is always there.
So if you are interested in ranking excellent at Google try not to copy and paste the content. Or even if you want to copy and paste the content , do not do it exactly. Make a new excerpt of it or write it in your own words.
you can easily check that an article is listed in Google previously or not. For this purpose select some part of the content and quest for it on Google by placing it in quotes. If Google answers with the part indexed then do not bother pasting the content in your site.
